Two of my favorite things. Tea & Thrifting

Yesterday was just what I needed! The only things I had on my "have to do" list were put away my laundry and clothes from Mexico and go to the gym. I've really been trying to make an effort to exercise and go to the gym 3-4 times per week. I figure if I put it on blog world I will be more likely to stick to my goals! I really want to have a fit and healthy pregnancy.
After getting my to do's done it left me some time to do some things I LOVE to do on Saturdays. I met my Grama, Mom, and sis for tea at Serendipitea in downtown Abbotsford. We love going there for high tea or lunch. It's similar to Tracycakes but more fun for us since we don't have to do any work!
After lunch we headed over to Precious Baby Kargo and looked at some baby stuff! I think I am going to go with cloth diapering and they have the cloth diapers that I like. It's a "all in one" diaper so it's the easiest way to cloth diaper.I think it will save us a lot of money in the long run and it's earth friendly. I can't believe in 5 more months we will get to meet our sweet baby S!!
I did a little bit of thrifting after and I found one really good steal! I got a white glider that is in almost new condition for only $10! The cushions are ugly but I plan on recovering it. I think I might go with some sort of grey and white print to match the nursery. It feels so surreal having a glider waiting to be used to gently rock our baby.
Well it's 8:00 on Sunday morning and I feel like I have accomplished so much. My hubby's fire pager gave me a nice early wake up nice morning..Gotta love a Sunday morning structure fire wake up call.

$10 find! Definitely needs new cushion covers.

Tulips from my Gram make me smile

Enjoy your Sunday!

Energizer bunny...Not!

Well we are back from Mexico and back to reality! This week has been a tough week for me physically speaking...Growing a baby actually takes ALL your energy! With this pregnancy I have really struggled with not being capable to accomplish as much as I normally can. I'm normally like a energizer bunny..!
I feel like I have zero energy to clean the house or even make dinner. I'm slowly learning that it's OK if the house isn't perfectly clean and that its OK if we have eggs and cereal for dinner. I'm learning that it's more important that I take care of myself and grow a healthy baby rather than stress about all the things I am not getting done! My hubby has been amazingly supportive. Don't worry Mika I will make dinner every evening one day soon!
When I first dreamed of being pregnant I imagined myself blissfully sewing blankets in the evening...or creating the perfect baby room...Ha! That's a joke. I'm lucky if I can stay awake past 9:00pm! I'm sure I will have time eventually when I get some energy back to get those things done! Until then I will just focus on growing a heatlhy baby and worry about making blankets later.
Well I am off to have a date night with my hubby. Happy Weekend!

Off to Mexico!

We are all packed and ready to go! We are going on vacation to Mexico with my family for a week. I can't wait to relax for a week and get some sunshine! I'm looking forward to coffee on the deck watching the sunrise...sitting by the infinity pool...time with my hubby! I also can't wait to catch up on some sleep. Growing a baby is hard work and makes me much more sleepy than I anticipated! I think I've felt the baby flutter a few times this week so it made it feel oh so real! Just under 6 months until we get to meet our sweet babe! I'm almost 16 weeks so the babe is the size of a avacado.
See you all in a week!

Back at it!

Well it's 2013 and I'm back at blogging! I took a little bit of a break in the last couple months. Most of it was  because of our big news that we are EXPECTING a little babe wasn't out yet and I felt like I couldn't really share what was on my heart since that was all I could think about! It also could have been due to my extreme first trimester exhaustion! I could barely keep up with my normal everyday things never mind blogging.
I am now almost 15 weeks and feeling great! I just had a little bit of nausea in the first trimester which I was very thankful for. Some girls I know are just so sick so I tried to keep a good attitude that God blessed us with this baby and what I had to go through was easy peezy compared to others.
It's hard to believe that in less than 6 months we will be holding our sweet little baby! I'm SO excited but also a little bit nervous. But i'm sure that's completely normal!
Well I am off to take down Christmas decorations. I hate un-decorating. It's so depressing. But it will also be nice to re-decorate and freshen the house up. Mika just painted our bedroom so I need to pick some new decor for our room!
Have a nice rainy Saturday!
