Feelin' crafty!

Yesterday felt like SPRING! Today...not so much but we do live in BC so spring basically means rain until June with the occasional sunny day. With all this drab weather I have been itching to get out some flowers and make my front entrance look a little more welcoming and spring like!
Here is what my mom and I set up last weekend. Doesn't it make you feel all happy and spring like inside just looking at it?

On another note my lovely cousin and I crafted these super cute burlap rose wreaths this week! I love having a wreath on my door all year round. It feels so much more welcoming!

When rainy days like today come all I want to do is sit inside and sew and drink tea so that's what I have been up to today. I have been working on these flannel baby blankets. I have picked mostly gender neutral prints aside from the one pink/purple print but the fabric is just too cute to resist!

love this print!
my and my hubby enjoying the sunshine. I love him!
Ps- there is a tree behind my head...my hair is not spiky!

Happy Monday to you!

Lifes little blessings

On Tuesday I will officially 20 weeks! That means I am halfway there! Time is sure flying by. This past week I have really noticed a increase in my energy levels which I am pretty happy about! I feel like I have accomplished a lot these last couple weeks in preparing for baby's arrival. We got a crib, a change table, a glider and I even sewed 2 baby blankets!
The baby is really starting kick and flutter a ton. It's such an amazing feeling. Mika keeps trying to feel it but I think it's too little still. Hopefully soon! I feel so blessed that I have had a healthy pregnancy so far. I'm also feeling super blessed by all these good deals I keep finding on baby items! Mika and I decided awhile back that we wanted to get a lot of used baby items to save some money. We didn't think it was necessary to go overboard on buying baby stuff! I feel like I have really been praying specifically about things and God has been answering so many of my prayers! God is good!
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9
Here are some photos of my finds so far. The nursery theme I am going for is grey walls with all white furniture. I want it to have a bit of a rustic feel like the rest of our home. Some barn wood, white antlers, old window pane frames...Stuff like that! Not really "baby" looking at all!

Our crib! This photo is just one from online since ours isn't put together right now! We got the
crib and mattress for $80!

Change table I got for $30
Our glider I found at a thrift store for $10. I'm going to recover it with a white and grey print fabric
on the front side and white burlap on the back
